Summer time is slow time at most online sportsbooks. After NFL season and March Madness, many square bettors take the season off. This means that those remaining to gamble at online sportsbooks tend to be more sophisticated. The sportsbooks are aware of this, of course, so the lines get a little sharper in the summer.
